PsyTropic Records is a new psytrance label based in Germany. They are out with their first compilation called Psyinjection, which is compiled by Chemicus (Thomas Vitali).

Psyinjection (PsyTropic Records) 2005 (PTRCD001)

1. Nasa – Delysid
2. Neelix – Colours
3. Psynina – Stop That Killing
4. Nova – Feel The Moment
5. A.P.E. – Aeroponal Brain Damage
6. Dozer & 40% - Spo (BLT Edit)
7. Elec3 – Paranormal Comes Alive
8. Brain Damage – Virus Player
9. Ultra Voice – Multi
10. Cosmic Tone – I Want To be There

First out is Nasa (Mikkel Rasmussen) from Denmark. He has released tracks on labels such as Com.Pact, Sub Machine, Tatsu and Iboga Records. Here he gives us a quite stumpy progressive track. Actually a pretty dark track. One of my favourite tracks on this compilation. Track 2 is by another progressive artist called Neelix (Henrik Twardzik) from Germany. He has released an album on Mental Arts (Resident) in 2003. This track goes stumpy too. More full on than housy, with jumpy sounds, a catchy melody and some floating parts. Track 3 goes more towards full on, still with a progressive touch. This one is by a new artist called Psynina (Nina K.), who is from Germany too. It starts nice and floating. Quite atmospheric track, with some German voice samples in the beginning. The sounds are a bit simple in my ears, but the vocals make it pretty nice anyway. Then we leave Europe, and travel down to the full on country, Israel. The rest of the tracks on this compilation is actually from Israel! Track 4 is made by another new artist called Nova (Lior Lahav). He gives us a groovy, rolling track. Not much melodies, but we get some jumpy sounds in there. Nothing special with this one. Track 5 is also by a new fresh Israeli act called A.P.E. Here we travel into darker vibes. We get some druggy voice samples and pure dark vibes for the night. Full on night time music.

Track 6 becomes a bit lighter. This is a collaboration between BLT (Yuli Fehrstat), here called Dozer, and 40% (Omri Harpaz). BLT is mostly known for progressive trance lately, but here he joins the full on side of trance. 40% is known for tracks on TIP.World, Chemical Crew and Crystal Matrix Records. This track is quite dark full on, but we get some nice, very light melodies in there too, which makes the track pretty good. Track 7 is by Elec3 (Igal Magitman, Rami Brisker & Leonid Koyfman). They have released tracks on several full on labels, such as Spliff, Turbo Trance, Utopia, Magma and Midijum Records. Here we get a groovy, drifting track. Very typical Israeli style, of the kind you have probably heard a lot lately. Quite clubby, melodic full on trance. Track 8 is by Brain Damage (Vikenty Shagal), who has released tracks on Moonstone, Midijum and Trancelucent Productions. This is a massive track, with heavy bass line and quite intense melodies, still going the clubby direction. Track 9 is by Ultra Voice (Avi-Levi Agalil) who is a bit more known. This guy has released two albums (Magic Sound Factory and Art Of Voice) on Com.Pact Records. Here we get another massive full on track. This is actually my favourite track on this compilation. Strong melody and good production. The last track on this album comes from Cosmic Tone who has released two albums (Overwhelming and Going Solo) on Trancelucent Productions. He is releasing his third album this year. The track we get here is melodic and quite fluffy, as usual from this guy. Something for the morning, but I don’t like the vocals in this one.

This is a pretty good debut compilation from PsyTropic Records if you are into the modern kind of full on trance. I like the way they put a couple of progressive tracks in the beginning, and build it up with full on at the second half of the compilation. A bit surprising to see so many Israeli artists on a German compilation, but that’s where most full on trance comes from anyway, so...
