Brand New Entertainment in Israel releases the fifth album by Future Prophecy...

Future Prophecy (Haggai Elezra and Itay Elezra) is back with their fifth album! These guys are veterans in the Israeli trance scene, and show us the clubby side of trance.

First out is a chilled track called Revelations, which was first released on a chill out compilation called “Life Is...Creation” last year. Here we get a lot of funky guitar and dubby relaxed rhythms. We also get some voice samples and floating sounds. Track 2 is a totally clubby trance track. It has a progressive trance drift, but very fluffy melody and sounds. Not my cup of tea, but I’m sure some will find it interesting. Track 3 is better. Here they give us a bit more massive progressive trance. This track sounds a lot like some of the tracks by Cosma (R.I.P.). Totally stumpy rhythms, still with some fluffy sounds now and then. We even get some saxophone playing in there! Track 4 is a track called Daydreams, which was released on a CD single a few weeks ago. This one starts with some heavy guitars, before the beat starts pumping. We get a lot of fluffy parts, with melodic breaks etc, and this sounds probably way too clubby for the normal psytrancer. Track 5 has a really groovy bass line. A pretty drifting track, with some voice samples and a fluffy vibe. Track 6 is a pure pop track, with some cheesy female vocals, piano and down beat rhythms. Way too cheesy for my taste.

Track 7 starts with some saxophone. Then some tribal beats and a bass line starts rolling. Very house inspired track all the way through. Track 8 has a bit more kicking rhythm drift and several funky sounds. Progressive trance, but with a more clubby sound than most psytrancers are used to hear. Here we also get some guitar that almost reminds me of some Irish folk music. Very drifting vibe, and at the end we get some pure euro dance influences again. Track 9 is more groovy. This one has the album title. We get several voice samples, some funky guitar sounds, and a very clubby vibe. You even get some latino influences too! Track 10 has a more massive, stumpy progressive rhythm. It as an atmospheric floating vibe, but also those clubby influences that these guys like to put into their tracks. Track 11 is a pure pop trance track. Euro dance melody, female vocals etc. Very commercial sound. The last track we get on this album is a soft pop track, with slow down beats, female vocals and floating melody. Not very impressive.

This album is for sure very varied, but will probably hit another crowd than the usual psytrancer. Easy digestible music for the masses.
