More progressive trance from Domo Records....

Domo Records in Israel is out with their second cd release. This time a compilation full of upcoming progressive trance artists and some pretty well known ones. It is compiled by dj Avi Nini.

Proper Blending (Domo Records) 2003 (DOMOCD002)

1. Colours – Cut The Grass
2. Defolder – Arcschbiss
3. Triac – Realms Of Shades
4. Katalog – Fibroglass
5. Shaman – Excarvation & Carving
6. Hinz & Kunz – Kopfkirmes
7. Insane Creation – Dark Lights (Rmx)
8. Darwish – Morning Glory
9. Necmi – Spidanelia

First out is a progressive track by two guys called Colours (Marco Columberg and Urs Burri) with some well known voice samples. Stumpy rhythms and floating soundscapes in between. Track two is by Defolder (Andreas Pfeiffer), most known as dj Sangeet from Germany. This sounds a bit more metallic. Weird sounds, and very stumpy rhythms. Track 3 by Triac (Michael Reznik and Ilan Lanz) has more intense rolling rhythms. A pretty minimal track, with not much else than the drifting rhythms. It goes dark and scary all the way. Pure night time trance. Track 4 by Katalog (Loic Especel) from France has a bit more tribal rhythms. The drift reminds me a bit of techno, but it has some really psychedelic sounds jumping in and out of the track. Dark style all the way. He is the label manager of Databass Music. Track 5 is by Shaman (Andreas Henning) from Sweden, who has released quite a lot of progressive trance lately. The track we get here is really rolling, with a pretty heavy bassline, building slowly up with minimal sounds and sort of tribal rhythms. Pretty good if you like progressive stuff of this kind. Track 6 by Hinz & Kunz (Micha Lapaczynski and Olli Tietz) is more pumping. Still pretty minimal. Here you get some weird voices too. The entire track reminds me a lot of techno. Olli is also a member of M.O.S. Track 7 by Insane Creation (Dave Walitza) starts slow and floating. Then the rhythms starts rolling. Pretty weird and scary sounds and a bit more variation than in the other tracks. One of my favourite tracks on this compilation. Track 8 by Darwish (David Abramov) from Israel is more of the stumpy kind. This track is pretty tribal, with some nice flute and tribal drums. Nice one. The last track on this compilation is by Necmi (Necmi Sorofuglu). This one has a female voice they have really twisted around. You get a tribal feeling with this track too.

If you like tribal progressive trance, this compilation might fit to your taste. Most of the tracks are by pretty unknown German and Israeli acts, but yet they sure have created a good sound so check it out!
